Baby Hanuman Eats the Sun
Long ago, a playful little monkey looked up, saw a giant golden mango glowing in the sky… and decided to eat it. There's just one problem: that mango is the sun!
Baby Hanuman is the strongest, bravest little monkey hero ever — and like a lot of little ones, he is always hungry for adventure. When he spots what looks like the world's most delicious mango floating in the morning sky, he leaps straight up to take a bite. But when Hanuman covers the sun, darkness spreads across the whole world.
The gods rush to stop the mischievous little hero, and for a moment everything goes wrong: the sun is hidden, Hanuman is stopped mid-adventure, and his father Vayu, the wind god, is so sad that he stops the winds from blowing. Soon everyone feels what it's like when one upset ripples out to touch everybody.
Then comes the gentle turn. The gods understand that Hanuman meant no harm, and they bless him with strength, wisdom, courage and protection — and the sun returns. As he grows, Hanuman uses his amazing powers to carry heavy baskets and help his neighbours, becoming the hero beloved by millions. The moral: great power shines brightest when it's guided by wisdom and kindness.
